Gen Z Meets Pac-Man and Friends

The history of Plug n' Play TV Games goes back as far as 2000.

In a promotional picture, the unit's main color looks to be black and its edges were a grayish color. Its video cables are white and red instead of white and yellow. The box art shows an illustration of the unit with the same colors.

The first release of the unit was purple with gold-colored edges and area around button and joystick. The reset button jutted out above the plastic. Although not pictured, it came with a red ghost finger puppet on the joystick. Also, the logo on the front only says "TV Games". That will be elaborated on a bit later.

The reset button was made level with the surrounding plastic.

In 2004, Jakks Pacific re-branded the whole line of systems as "Plug It In and Play TV Games". The logo on this version of the unit was changed accordingly.
